Dear world, meet your kill shelter. Meet your bullshit justifications for easy killing. They sound just like this video… “She’s really sick,” or, “She’s aggressive.” Right. Their killed, that bullshit is marked into their computer file, and they’re erased from the planet with usually no evidence they ever existed at all. Spitting on the grave of shelter animals since God knows when. This is the system that corrodes our decent core. This is the kind of stuff that silently breaks my heart late at night, in quiet thoughts, while driving, while pausing during editing, while in the shower, while staring at the ceiling prior to going to sleep. This is the kind of stuff that does it. Watch it.

Being a shelter worker, I have had to face this a lot. It kills me inside, even when they are no longer adoptable due to actual aggression or sickness, I still yearn for them to have a life. If you do not live this life as a shelter worker, you have no idea what it’s really like. Nobody wants to do it but it sadly is done. Also, you never tell the public that a dog is being euthanized. That really ticked me off.
